These are progressive springs so they are softer during the initial load to help with slight lumps in the road and then get firmer the more load that is placed on them to assist with handling in corners. 

1" lower than standard Land Rover springs. We do not advise using these on Defenders that reguarly carry heavy loads or tow a trailer.
